Verizon Wireless and Samsung have announced a new color option for the FlipShot device. The FlipShot devices will now be available in both black and now, red color options. The FlipShot features a 3 MP camera with digital zoom and its unique flipping display which offers a unique way at snapping shots. Sony Ericsson, the R300 Radio and the R306 Radio. It is designed for those who like to listen to radio. Both R300 and R306 have a quick access button for the preset radio stations. They also have the built-in TrackID, record a clip of song from external source place like bar or coffee shop and you can find out who sang, the name of song so as the album. The R306 Radio is a clamshell that comes with two integrated stereo speakers at the front. It has the Audio Enhacer key where you can activate volume boost when listening to the radio through the speakers or 3D sound enhancement when you plugged in your stereo headset. R300 Radio comes with a VGA camera while the R306 has a 1.3-megapixel camera. The R300 Radio will be available in Antique Copper and Steel Black colors, and the R306 Radio in Coffee Black and Champagne White colors.
The T280 comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera while T270 does not have a camera module. Both will be available in same colors ~ Silver on Black and Copper on Silver. The Sony Ericsson T270 and T280 will available in selected market from Q1 2008.
The Miss America pageant is a long-standing competition which awards scholarships to young women from the 50 states plus the District of Columbia and the US Virgin Islands. The first-prize winner of the national pageant is awarded the title of “Miss America” for one year.
The pageant originated as a beauty contest in 1921, but now prefers to avoid this term since Swimsuit and Evening Wear only comprise 35 percent of the overall score used to judge contestants. The pageant began in Atlantic City, New Jersey and was held there each year in September through 2004 (except for the year 2000, when it was held on October 14).
Some feminists object to the Miss America pageant. Stephanie Abrams of Ohio University contends that Miss America hurts women by “forcing monolithic, racist, often unattainable standard of beauty into the nation’s consciousness.The Miss America competition originated on September 7, 1921, as a two-day beauty contest in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The event that year was still called the Atlantic City Pageant, and the winner of the grand prize, the 3-foot Golden Mermaid trophy, wasn’t even called “Miss America” until 1922, when she re-entered the pageant. The pageant was initiated in an attempt to keep tourists in Atlantic City after the Labor Day weekend.
