Embargo of Birds from Specified Countries

General Information
Based on anxieties regarding highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 virus and its likely to force illness in humans, CDC and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) undergo taken steps to inhibit importation of birds and unprocessed bird offerings of countries in on the virus in domestic poultry. The import restrictions do not request to U.S.-origin pet birds that may be allowed to send back upon entering a USDA quarantine facility for 30 days. The import restrictions in addition do not request to processed bird packages which hold kept on rendered noninfectious. Countries affected by the CDC and USDA import restrictions are outlined in the subsequent to table:
